Six domes on a hardened lava flow at Kalapana.
The property is built on a hardened Kīlauea flow on the eastern edge of Hawaiʻi Island. Six domes sit on raised platforms above the rock, powered by an on-site solar array.
Each dome is a self-contained residence on its own raised platform, sleeping two. Six in total, spaced apart across the property.
Each dome sleeps two, with a full-height window facing the lava field.
A self-contained living area in every dome, separate from the shared pavilion.
A shared pavilion with a bar and seating for all twelve guests.
Days here follow the land: the swell on the cliffs, rain moving across the flow, an afternoon in a chair on the rock with a line in the water. Nothing asks for your attention.
When the rest of your life does, there is a quiet, connected space to answer it. Take the call, finish the work, then close the laptop and walk back outside.
There is no utility connection to the property. Electricity comes from a ground-mounted solar array with battery storage that carries the domes overnight.
The Albizia is offered to travel partners as long-term packages rather than nightly inventory — full-property buyouts and standing blocks for retreats, small-group programmes and bespoke itineraries.
